The 2012 ALUVIÓN MALBEC RESERVA presents with a dark violet colour with blackish tones. It is rich with aromas of ripe black fruits and hints of sweet tobacco. The palate is full and rich with concentrated flavors of blackcurrants and spicy notes, enriched by lively acidity, structured tannins, and a long spicy finish.
As with most Malbec wines, we recommend serving at a temperature of 60-65 degrees Fahrenheit (16-18 degrees Celsius) and decanting for up to 30 minutes

The 2012 ALUVIÓN MALBEC RESERVA is a limited release super-premium single vineyard wine, with just 1,800 bottles (1,350 litres) produced.
2012 provided nearly perfect weather conditions, which enabled us to leave the berries on the vine to reach their ideal ripeness. We were thus able to achieve better extractions of aromas, colour and tannins during the maceration and fermentation process. We also matured this 100% Malbec wine in a combination of new and second use French oak barrels (Boutes and Saury) for 22 months. The result is an intense and full-bodied wine, which will drink well now and for many years to come.
SUSTAINABLE FARMING AND PRODUCTION PRINCIPLES
Our grapes are farmed following natural and sustainable viticulture principles with deep respect given to the earth, native vegetation, water sources, and the produce. In the winery, the wine is manipulated as little as possible, avoiding any fining or filtering.
Aluvión Vineyards is also proud to be involved with businesses that are dedicated to the improvement of the surrounding rural community, providing social, medical, and educational assistance.
