While nurturing and tasting our inaugural harvest we found the Perspectiva Malbec to be incredible “as is”, consisting of 100% Malbec. Aging for 26 months in new French oak barrels, the Perspectiva Malbec has a smooth yet mature finish along with the juicy fruit notes and violet aromas we come to expect in a Malbec from Argentina.
Our love for Malbec helped drive our decision to start our vineyard and winemaking adventure in the Uco Valley, and the muse for our fresh perspective. 2012 was the first harvest with our own grapes that we have been nurturing for the past five years.
Hand harvested grapes, from a super premium low-yield managed plot, passed through a double sorting table, before the berries were housed inside 1-Ton tanks specially designed for micro-fermentations. After the fermentation was completed, the wine was racked in new French oak barrels.
Food Pairing Notes
Perfect for pairing with lean red meat and spices that have an earthy or smokey flavor, a nice complement to rich soft to semi-firm cow’s and goat’s milk cheeses, and favored with hearty vegetables and lentils or beans.
